Old-Fashioned Christmas in Historic West Chester is held annually the
first weekend in December (Thursday - Sunday). The Rockwell-esque holiday
celebration invites families to experience Downtown West Chester during
the holiday season. Children and those young at heart enjoy the Friday
night arrival of Santa during the Holiday Parade, which starts at 6:45 pm.
The parade ends with Santa lighting the Community Tree in front of the
Courthouse. The four-day celebration features more than forty activities,
offering something for everyone to enjoy. Activities include Chester
County Gilbert and Sullivan Society performances of "Trial by Jury" in the
Chester County Courthouse, guided walking tours of the historic downtown
area, the YWCA Holiday House Tour, and performances by a wide variety of
musicians from gospel choirs to quartets and entertainers ranging from
jugglers to dancers.
The Chamber of Commerce of Greater West Chester is proud to sponsor and
coordinate the Old-Fashioned Christmas in Historic West Chester. A
schedule of events will be available online in early November. For more
