The majority of the Greater West Chester community is served by the West Chester Area School District, with the exception of Birmingham Township, which is served by the Unionville-Chadds Ford School District. Students in both districts enjoy the expert educational programming offered by these award-winning, scholastically superior districts.

*West Chester Area School District is comprised of 10 elementary schools, 3 middle schools, and 2 high schools. For information about the school district, please call 610-436-7000 or visit www.wcasd.k12.pa.us.

Registration Procedures: A birth certificate, proof of district residency, immunization records (including Hepatitis B), Social Security number and name/address of the previous school are needed by students transferring to the district. Elementary school principals and secondary school guidance departments handle transfers. To verify school attendance area, call the Transportation office at 610-436-7120.
