Committees & ​Volunteer Opportunities

Becoming an active member of a committee is a great way to get more involved with the Chamber and to meet fellow members. Our committee meetings are typically held once per month at the Chamber office and meetings are for one hour. 
Chamber Ambassadors play a vital role in promoting and maintaining member engagement. Ambassadors are responsible for personally welcoming new member businesses and guiding them through all the benefits the Chamber has to offer. Ambassadors also assist in retaining current Chamber membership, reaching out to existing members on a regular basis to ensure that the organization is providing value to them. The GWCC Engagement Committee was founded to ensure that our members voices are heard. The group focuses on three key areas:  member connection, market research, and retention. ​Professional Development Committee

Develop & Plan the Business Leaders in the Know & Women Roundtable Programs
The Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce proudly offers the best in ongoing educational programming for businesses of any size and has an impressive portfolio of offerings to accommodate our member’s needs, interests and availability.  Our goal is to be a first-class resource for like-minded professionals to learn, teach and connect while providing tools to do better business in the greater West Chester area. Meetings are held the second Wednesday of each month at 8:30 am at the Chamber office. The "GWCC NextGen" is the Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce's take on the popular "Young Professionals Group." Unlike the traditional YPG we do not thwart inclusion based on age, we focus experience levels! The GWCC NextGen aims to bridge the gap for those new to the area & new to their industry with seasoned professionals through intentional networking, mentorship, education and volunteerism. ​Business Advocacy Committee
This committee makes recommendations on a position that the Chamber might consider on local, regional and state legislative issues that may impact member businesses.​ To join or for questions regarding the Advocacy Committee, please contact the Chamber office at [email protected] ​

​Nonprofit Committee
This committee helps to develop valuable programming for non-profit members and organizations in our community such as, educational programming and offerings, educational panel discussions (includes breakfast or lunch), online resources for nonprofits, professional development programs, educational workshops, networking events. Other Volunteer Opportunities

Annual Hanging of The Greens 

Every year, dozens of volunteers gather in downtown West Chester to support local businesses and spread holiday cheer by hanging holiday greens on the store fronts. This volunteer opportunity is traditionally held the third Saturday in November.
